Who We Are

LeuB is named after Leucilla and Byron — two basset hounds who were around when this whole thing started. It seemed fitting. Good ideas usually happen in good company.

LeuB Apps is a small software development team building two things most people wouldn't expect to find under the same roof: games and developer tools. That's not a coincidence or a pivot. It's the whole point.

Where It Started

SchemaStudio wasn't planned as a product. It was built during the development of Chain Reaction to solve a specific problem: getting non-technical collaborators to work with structured data without requiring them to understand JSON. Once it existed, it became clear it was useful well beyond that one project — so we finished it and released it.

That's still how we think about both sides of the business. The tools get built because the games need them. The games push the tools to handle things they weren't originally designed for. Each side makes the other better.

The Games

Our games are designed to be genuinely fun first. Any educational dimension is baked into the mechanics — not bolted on as a tutorial or trivia prompt. In Chain Reaction, the chemistry isn't a sidebar. Water reacts with sodium in the game because water reacts with sodium in real life. The gameplay teaches through the rules, not through interruptions.

Future titles will follow the same philosophy: real-world knowledge embedded in how the game works, not layered on top of it.

The Tools

SchemaStudio exists because structured data entry is genuinely painful for people who didn't grow up writing JSON. Developers can knock out a schema quickly — the people who need to populate that schema often can't. SchemaStudio bridges that gap: developers build the structure, collaborators fill it in visually. It also gives indie developers and solo creators a way to prototype data structures without losing previous work when things change direction.

LeuB Apps was founded by a software developer working in insurance technology, where that exact problem — technical structures, non-technical data entry — comes up constantly. SchemaStudio is the tool we wished existed.

What's Next

Chain Reaction is in development, targeting a release later this year. SchemaStudio is available now. More games are in the pipeline.
